What is Viscosity?

Viscosity measures a liquid coating's resistance to flow or its internal thickness. Painting contractors evaluate viscosity to determine how paint behaves during application; high-viscosity paints resist sagging and dripping on vertical surfaces, while low-viscosity paints flow easily through spray equipment or level out smoothly when brushed.
