Paint finish, or sheen, refers to the degree of gloss or light reflectivity in a dried paint film, ranging from flat to high-gloss. Higher-sheen finishes contain more resin, offering greater durability, moisture resistance, and washability, while lower-sheen finishes absorb light, effectively concealing minor surface defects and drywall imperfections.
